Sedona's most famous natural arch and one of the most photographed spots in Arizona. A moderate hike with an incredible payoff.

A beautiful, moderate trail through a stunning red rock canyon. Another powerful vortex energy site.

๐Ÿ’กParking lot is small with a fee - free parking available along the road. To find the Subway Cave, look for a large alligator juniper tree at the 2-mile mark - turn right there.

Famous vortex with balancing energy

This bell-shaped formation is one of Sedona's most famous vortex sites, known for balanced masculine and feminine energies. An easy pathway circles the base, while adventurous hikers can scramble up for panoramic views.

๐Ÿ’กBest parking is Courthouse Vista (Bell Rock North). If full, try Courthouse Loop South or Yavapai Vista. Bell Rock is another trail that is more of a "hike" than a "climb."

West Fork Trail

Enchanted forest with creek crossings

The trail follows Oak Creek through a shaded canyon surrounded by towering red-rock walls, lush trees, and beautiful river views. One of the most scenic hikes in the area and highly recommended by hikers.

๐Ÿ’กArrive before 8am for parking or come after noon. Wear waterproof shoes for stream crossings. Best in fall for colors or spring for wildflowers.

Challenging climb with spiritual energy

A short but steep climb to one of Sedona's most photographed landmarks. Known as a powerful vortex site.

๐Ÿ’กBest at sunset for golden hour photos. It's steep with some scrambling required. Beautiful views at all heights - you don't need to reach the summit for stunning scenery.

A moderately challenging trail featuring Sedona's largest sinkhole (Devil's Kitchen) at just 0.25 miles in, plus the Seven Sacred Pools. The trail offers stunning vantage points of red rock formations throughout.

Quieter trail with stunning mesa views

A well-marked system trail offering beautiful red rock scenery with gradual elevation gain. The trail connects to Jim Thompson Trail for extended hiking options.

๐Ÿ’กPark at Jordan Trail lot. Can be combined with Soldier Pass Trail for a scenic 5-mile loop. The trail is well-marked but bring plenty of water as shade is limited.

A local's favorite, this trail offers incredible close-up views of Chimney Rock and Coffee Pot Rock. It's a journey through classic Sedona landscape.

An easy, rewarding canyon walk

An easy, peaceful walk into a stunning box canyon. Keep an eye out for the natural arch on the right side about a half-mile in.

๐Ÿ’กThe hike is mostly easy and leisurely. The natural arch is viewable from the ground only - getting close requires a strenuous climb with rocky terrain and cacti. You can skip the arch climb and still enjoy a peaceful canyon walk.

A short but rewarding climb to a wide, flat mesa with spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of Sedona's iconic red rock formations including Capitol Butte and Mescal Mountain. The relatively flat top allows you to wander and explore from multiple vantage points.

๐Ÿ’กArrive early for sunrise to watch the red rocks illuminate. The flat mesa top is perfect for meditation or yoga with views in every direction.

A sacred alcove with panoramic canyon views

A unique, large alcove carved into the red rock cliffs, believed by some to have been used by Native Americans for ceremonial purposes. The cave offers stunning views of the surrounding canyon and is a rewarding destination for adventurous hikers.
